A remarkable example of a late‑war German sniper configuration, this Gustloff Werke Model 98 Long Side Rail Sniper Rifle is chambered in 8mm and marked BCD‑45, reflecting its 1945 production.

This rifle is equipped with a BEK Dialytan 4x scope featuring wide bands, mounted on the correct long side rail system. It retains key late‑war features including the checkered buttplate and key‑type safety lever. While the rifle is mostly matching, the stock and handguard originate from another rifle, and the scope is correctly numbered within its own production sequence. A winter trigger and a replacement cleaning rod are also present.

The rifle shows a thinning late‑phosphate finish consistent with its period, while the bore remains excellent, making it a strong example for collectors of historical military firearms.
