Description

Mauser 1896 Broomhandle, 7.63mm. This has been arsenal converted from a 9mm bore to 7.63mm, by relining the barrel. This is marked 1920-769 on the left panel. This is within the 9mm contract serial number range, and also has had the Red 9 ground off the grips and this has all matching numbers and no importer markings. This has about 95% arsenal refinish and the bore is excellent. This was likely done to conform to the Treaty of Versailles, and is a rather rare variant.
