Description

Wilkinson Royal Engineers Sword. Sold to Hubert Lyle Bingay in 1899, and the engraved blade is monogrammed H.L.B. This has the leather wrapped scabbard and hanger, and portepee. Bingay served in the Boer war and WWI. He became an instructor at the School of Military Engineering, and was awarded the Distinguished Service Award. The Milner Archive letter, a copy of the Wilkinson Sword Ledger and much history on the officer is included. Overall VG+-EX.
