Wilkinson Royal Artillery officer’s sword featuring Wilkinson’s patented solid-tang construction, sold to Norman Patterson in 1900. Included are a Milner research letter, a copy of the Wilkinson ledger sheet, photographs, and documentation concerning Patterson’s Boer War service. Patterson received the Distinguished Service Order for his conduct while directing artillery fire during the 1902 action at Klerksdorp, where he was subsequently captured. The leather scabbard is missing approximately 12 inches from the toe. Overall VG.
