Maker: Walther Fits: Walther PPK Type: 4mm training conversion kit Includes: Walther banner-marked tube, 4 reduction cartridges, shell extractor tool, cleaning rod, seven 4mm rounds Box: Black cardboard with purple felt lining and Walther banner on the lid Condition: Very Good+ overall
This is a Walther PPK 4mm conversion kit. It includes a Walther banner-marked tube, 4 reduction cartridges, a shell extractor tool, a cleaning rod and seven 4mm rounds, all in a black cardboard box with a purple felt lining and the Walther banner on the lid. Very Good+ overall.
4mm kits like this let shooters practice indoors with very low-powered ammunition. The 4mm rounds are seated in reduction cartridges, which are loaded in place of the normal ammunition and fired through a 4mm tube, then removed with the extractor tool.
Fun fact: The 4mm round is little more than a stretched primer with a tiny lead ball, weighing about 7 grains. It’s quiet and accurate enough for practice at a shooting gallery without a heavy backstop. The 4mm training system was patented in Germany by Karl Weiss in 1921.
