Description
Sauer 1913, 7.65mm. This is an English Export Model with the slide marked “Sauers Patent-Patd May 20 1912” on the left side and “J.P.Sauer & Son Suhl-Prussia” on the opposite side of the slide, and the Sauer logo on top of the slide. This is German Crown N proofed and has the correct, plain checkered hard rubber grips. The blue rates about 95% and the bore is excellent. This has been mated to an original beige cardboard box with a spare magazine, manual and cleaning rod. This 2-digit pistol is the lowest known export Model, with only a couple of lower numbered pistols known. This is also the exact gun pictured on the Unblinking Eye Gun Encyclopedia site. That makes this one of the earliest Sauer Semi-Auto pistols extant.
