Fits: Luger P.08, 9mm Parabellum Country / Era: Germany, WWI Type/Model: Luger P.08 Pistol Magazine Markings: #1959L and #50 on the wooden base Condition: About 99% nickel; wood VG–VG+
This is an original German Luger P.08 9mm pistol magazine. It is marked #1959L and #50 on the wooden base. About 99% of the nickel remains, and the wood is Very Good to Very Good+.
The German Army adopted the Luger as the Pistole 1908 (P.08), and it was the standard German service pistol throughout WWI.
Fun fact: German military Lugers were serial numbered in blocks from 1 to 9999, with a letter added after the number for each new block. That’s the “L” in this magazine’s number. Magazines were numbered to match their pistol, so collectors use them to complete a matching rig.
