This is an original German WWII dress bayonet with the F.W. Höller logo. The blade is etched “Für Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit” (“In memory of my service”) and features a detailed military scene of artillery, a tank and machine-gun crews. Some nickel finish is missing from the pommel. The blade is excellent, the scabbard is nice, and the hanger shows wear.

This design matches Höller’s documented three-scene military etching with machine-gun, artillery and tank imagery.

Fun fact: Dress bayonets like this were worn by German enlisted men and NCOs for parades and walking out, and many soldiers paid to have their blades etched as a personal keepsake of their service, which is why the inscription translates to “In memory of my service.”
