Colt Model 1889 Navy revolver, .41 Colt. Built in 1891, this revolver has a 6-inch barrel, factory engraving, a nickel finish, a gold cylinder and pearl grips on one side with the Mexican serpent and eagle.

The included Colt Archive letter documents this revolver as 1 of 8 shipped to A. Combaluzier in Mexico City. A revolver two numbers away bears an inscription to Porfirio Díaz, then President of Mexico. This creates a notable historical association.

The revolver has been gracefully restored and presents in excellent condition. The Colt Archive letter and supporting literature are included. Only approximately 80 Colt Model 1889 revolvers are reported to have received factory engraving. Antique.
