This original Colt 1911A1 pistol holster is brown leather with the US embossed on the front flap, maker marked by Boyt (stamped Boyt-44) on the back. It has an MRT ink stamp inside. Overall condition is VG+.

Boyt of Des Moines, Iowa, was one of the biggest makers of US Army pistol holsters during WWII, and the “44” in its stamp is the year it was made.

Fun fact: Boyt is still in business today, now best known for its gun cases.
