The Astra 600 was developed in 1943 for the German military as a 9mm Parabellum version of Astra’s Model 400 pistol.

Fun fact: Astra pistols were made by Unceta y Compañía in Guernica, Spain. It’s the Basque town whose 1937 bombing in the Spanish Civil War inspired Picasso’s famous painting Guernica.
