Description

Japanese Nambu 1902 Grandpa, 8mm. This is a transition model with some parts of the 1904 Papa pattern and others of the 1902 Grandpa. This has a fixed lanyard loop, a Papa style magazine, a modified grip frame, barrel extension and bolt. The Firing pin retainer, grip screws and magazine release button are modern replacements. This has about 98% of an old refinish and a poor bore. This comes with a new, well-made wooden holster shoulder stock. This is noted in Japanese Military Cartridge Handguns 1893-1945 by Derby & Brown, page 50, and is 1 of 2 known transition pistols.
