W&F Bern 44/16, 9mm. This P-43 Prototype aka 44/16 has the later CZ type take down latch for easy slide removal. Some of the early models have the FN High Power take down system. This has lined walnut grips, along with lined front and rear grips straps. The slide shows a crack at the thinly machined takedown point. This Rare prototype never made it to production, as the SIG P-49 became the Swiss Military sidearm. The blue rates about 98% and the bore is excellent.
