Webley WG Target Model, .450/.455 caliber. This has the 7 1/2″ barrel marked Army & Navy CSL and an adjustable rear sight. The checkered walnut grips show a chip on the left panel. The cylinder is 2 numbers off-likely a factory error, as the overall condition is consistent. The blue rates about 95% and the bore is a shiny VG+. The Milner research letter indicates that this was sold in 1908 to ANCSL and again to Major Schofield R.E=George Peabody Scofield-Royal Engineers. Schofield later became a Brigadier General. Much Military history is included to include some Boer War service. This has its original, blue felt lined, English oak case, with the ANCSL label on the lid and some accessories.
