Mauser P.38, BYF 43, 9mm. This German WWII pistol is Eagle/135 proofed throughout and has all matching numbers. It is fitted with the proper red-brown Bakelite grips and retains approximately 95% of its original blue finish. The bore is excellent.
Included is a rare “lyo 44” Eagle/77-proofed brown leather hardshell holster in fair condition. The name of the returning WWII veteran is marked on the front of the holster’s lid. An original WWII capture paper bearing the same veteran’s name is also included, tying the pistol, holster and capture document together as a particularly desirable bring-back grouping.
