Mauser Model 1914, 7.65mm. This pistol has the proper checkered walnut grips and is police marked “S.P.L.” on the front strap, a marking associated with the Leipzig Schutzpolizei (German spelling is Sächsische Polizei–Leipzig). All numbers match, including the numbered magazine. The pistol retains approximately 95% of an old refinish, and the bore is excellent.

The Mauser Model 1914 was designed with the European police market in mind, and many remained in German police service through the Weimar era. This example’s S.P.L. marking identifies it with the Saxon Police in Leipzig, giving it a traceable period service connection.
