Langenhan Army Model, 7.65mm, 2nd Variation with hard rubber grips. The left grip panel shows some nicks from handling and use. This Police-issued example is marked “L.K.S.42.” on the front strap and is accompanied by two magazines numbered to the pistol’s Police inventory number. The magazines are marked “42-1” and “42-2,” respectively, identifying them as the first and second magazines assigned to the pistol.
The pistol remains in excellent overall condition, retaining approximately 97% of its original blue finish. The bore rates VG+. The combination of the Police marking and two matching numbered magazines makes this a particularly complete and desirable example.
Included is a black leather Police-pattern holster marked “Robert Larsen-Berlin-SW 1938.” The front of the holster bears a Police Eagle/B proof, adding another identifiable period Police feature to the complete rig.
This pistols marking is documented on Page 332 of History Writ in Steel, where its Police marking is listed as unidentified.
