Guidelamp FP-45, .45 acp single shot pistol. Guidelamp was a division of General Motors, and 1 million were built for a total cost of $1.62 each. These were intended to be air dropped behind enemy lines, to rearm the resistance fighters. The idea was to take out the enemy, grab their usable weapon and toss this one away.
Few were brought back to the states, as the returning vets wanted a serviceable weapon rather than this disposable piece. Today this is in VG+ condition with a newly manufactured base plate.
